When I started this blog a few months ago, I had no idea what I was getting into. I thought that I could post on a website and that would be the end of it.
I initially started out with the Basic WordPress subscription but that proved to be the incorrect choice. About a week after starting the blog, I decided to upgrade to the WordPress Business Plan. The storage became unlimited, all of the themes were available, and, as odd as it sounds, I felt like this legitimized my business. Even though I started the business in July 2016.
It has been tough, but fun, to learn about html, ad placement, affiliate marketing, search engine optimization, social media accounts, taking proper pictures, Google AdSense, Google Analytics…you get the picture? I felt like I took on too much and wanted to quit, but that is not me.
The blog had 887 visitors in the first month. My hope was that I would hit 1,000 views before the end of 2017. Well, in November, the blog had nearly 1,300 views. 😮 I am proud of the progress that my little site has made. There are currently 118 posts, which is roughly one per day. I hope to continue to grow throughout the next year. Here are some of the highlights thus far:

Introduction: International Balloon Fiesta Weekend

Introduction: Weekend in Dallas
Thanks to everyone for visiting and supporting Phillips Loop. A special thanks to my buddy, James, for helping me get this thing off of the ground. Initially, I felt as if I was talking in an empty room, but now the room is becoming a bit more crowded.
