Review: United Airlines (CRJ-700) First Class Denver to Oklahoma City
Last month, I made a mileage run to Singapore with the sole purpose being to move United Airlines’ Premier Gold to Premier Platinum. The trip had a few setbacks, including a missed connection to Houston. Due to the missed connection, I was not able to move to Premier Platinum. This left me $400 short of the Premier Qualifying Dollars (PQD) requirement. I needed to find a trip before the end of the year to meet the PQD for Premier Platinum. With only one day to make this happen, I settled on Denver. Denver is a short 80 minute flight from Oklahoma City. I booked the flight in First Class roundtrip for $410.
The flight from OKC left early in the morning. This was perfect because I would have a full day to explore Denver.

I checked into the Hotel Indigo in downtown Denver. Thanks to the staff for allowing me to check in at 8 a.m., the normal check in time is 3 p.m.

After checking in, I went downstairs to Hearth & Dram restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant was gorgeous and the food was delicious.

I took a quick nap and decided to wander around the Downtown Mall. I came across the Denver Christmas Market, it made me feel like I was in Germany.

Prior to my flight, I decided to have brunch at the Pig & Sprout. It was a great decision, if I must say so.

After arriving at the airport, I decided to check out Timberline Steaks & Grille. The restaurant is a Priority Pass participant.

Finally, I took the short flight from Denver to OKC to end my 36 hours of travel.
Final Word
I took this trip for the sole purpose of moving up a United Airlines’ elite tier. While I accomplished that goal, the city of Denver surprised me. I had a great time in the city and cannot wait to visit it again.
