After nearly 11 hours, power has been restored to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The Georgia power company says that a fire crippled two underground substations, causing the prolonged outage. The backup system was also damaged.
Hundrededs of flights have been cancelled and many more will be delayed. The bright news is that the city and companies have been assisting the passengers, even Chick-Fil-A opened on Sunday. 😮
I am happy that the situation has been resolved. The airport needs to review this situation and put updated procedures in place so that this issue does not happen again.
