As a United Airlines loyalist, I have been waiting to fly the 777-300 with new business class seat since they were introduced a couple of years ago. I specifically routed through San Francisco (from Beijing) to try the new product. While I was more than a little excited to give the new seat a try, I had temper my expectations because I knew that it would not compare to what I just experienced in Singapore Airlines suites class.
I am still getting over jet lag and editing the thousands of pictures that I took from this trip, but the trip report will appear on the blog shortly.
The seat was very tight. The narrow entrance to the seat was barely wide enough, even when turned sideways.

Another thing that bothered me was the overhead bins. The bins open downward which greatly reduce the space at the seat. I bumped my head more than a few times.

The seat, in lie flat mode, offered a ton of privacy. I managed to get a decent amount of sleep.

For dinner, I had to beef tenderloin. It was okay, but a little too dry for my liking.

The breakfast dish was significantly better than the dinner, in my opinion.

United Airlines 777-300 new business class is a significant improvement over the seats that are flying on the 777-200 and 787s. I would not hesitate to fly it again.
