Seat 10C (Main Cabin Extra)
It took me one hour from the time that I got on the bus until I made it to the gate. Group 6, my group, was boarding. (American Airlines has 9 boarding groups. 😮) I quickly found a place at the end of the line and boarded. The seat below is what I thought was my seat, 10D.

However, the seatbelt was broken and I was moved to 9C. What? I was in the wrong seat, not once, but twice (I blame the early morning departure for this). I finally settled into my seat, 10C, one row back. This is considered an exit row seat even though there is not an exit on the row.

I was originally booked in seat 31C, but due to American Airlines having a generous military policy, I was moved to a Main Cabin Extra seat.
The seat was certainly better than a regular Economy seat. I had decent legroom. There was not a seat back tray table. It was stored in the left armrest. The tray table could be use halved or whole.

The boarding process was smooth. We were informed that our flight time would be 1hr 39min. Boarding was complete at 0454.
At 0457, we started our pushback. With this being a really early departure, most of the cabin was quiet, except for two or three people. The safety demonstration began at 0459 as the engines were starting.
We began our taxi at 0501. Cabin lights were dimmed and flight attendants soon took their seats. We were airborne at 0507. The engines were annoyingly loud on takeoff.
Service began at 0515. Cookies and complimentary drinks were offered. I asked for a water.

The biscuit was hard, which made it inedible. There was not much service during the rest of the flight (because everyone was asleep). I did not check the WiFi on the flight because I wanted to rest…or at least, try to. The one thing that stood out to me was the hot cabin. It was so hot that it made it hard for me to sleep.
At 0743, the cabin as prepared for landing. We landed in Charlotte at 0801. We arrived at the gate at 0809. I took a pic of the first class cabin as I exited.
