A few weeks ago, I wrote about the steps a person should take when they lose their wallet. I was able to replace every credit card, military ID, and driver’s license. Everything was replaced within five days of the incident. The only issue was the wallet itself. It was a gift that I really cherish so I wanted it back.
A few days after ‘losing’ the wallet, I contacted the restaurant in Norman where I last saw the wallet. They informed me that they had the wallet in their possession. This made me feel great! I was happy to know that I would be able to retrieve my wallet.
I do not know who or why the wallet was returned to the restaurant, I am just happy to have it back. This situation reinforces two things: 1) do not be complacent and 2) do not store all of personal information in one location. Thanks to the person who returned the wallet, it is appreciated.
