I really like to travel…I mean, REALLY like to travel. As I have said before, it is more about the experience than the destination. My recent trip to Malaysia was one of the most adventurous, but tiring, trips of my life. I have been looking for interesting flights that I could take that do not require traveling around the world (much like my upcoming trip to Costa Rica) to reduce stress on my body. This leads me to an interesting flight between Houston and Panama on Air China. Air China operates a fifth freedom route from Beijing to Panama via Houston. A fifth freedom route is one that an airline operates between two cities outside of its country. This flight was launched in March 2018 and is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER.

Air China’s 777-300ER has eight first class suites, in a 1-2-1 configuration. The suites are open and look very comfortable. I could book the flight through United Airlines’ for 40,000 miles. If I were to pay for the flight, it would cost well over $4,000!

I cannot wait to fly on Air China. While I will not get to enjoy a longhaul flight in first class, the four hour trip to Panama City, Panama should be enough to experience the customer service and food on the flight.

Did you know that Air China flies to Panama?
