After finally resolving my delayed flight issue with United Airlines, I decided to make my way to The Club Lounge. The Club is a Priority Pass Lounge. I was able to visit due to my American Express Platinum card which gave me Priority Pass access. The lounge was located in Terminal D across from gate D15, in the center of the walkway. This location was only temporary as the new lounge is scheduled to open towards the end of September. Everything about the lounge screamed “temporary”. The signage and cramped space were not so subtle hints of this.
Upon entering the lounge, there was a small seating area on either sides of the walkway. The guests were almost sitting on top of one another.

Right past the seating area was the host stand. He verified my boarding pass and scanned my priority pass card. Immediately past the host stand was the bar area. It was packed as well. There were no seats available. I ordered a beer, which was complimentary, and made my way to the standing room only area at the end of the counter.

The lounge offered a non-alcoholic drink station, snacks, and newspapers. The Miss Vickie’s chips were the highlight, if I am being honest, of the snacks. The popcorn display was unappealing, it was not cleaned during my visit.

The staff working the lounge were really nice, they were swamped due to amount of passengers passing through the small lounge. As I left the lounge, I passed by the American Express Centurion Lounge with hopes that, by some miracle, it would be open. It was definitely still closed so I made my way to catch my flight to Houston.

Final Word
I am happy that this was the temporary location for The Club. The new lounge can only be better, right? I was able to have a couple of drinks before my flight to Houston. If you value your space, the Minute Suites might be a better option for you.
