After an eventful flight to Tampa, I decided to visit The Cafe by Mise en Place. I would not be able to visit on the morning of my departure so this was the only time. The Cafe is the only Priority Pass restaurant at Tampa International Airport. It was located next to gate F85, airside, just across from the security checkpoint.

The Cafe was fairly empty when I arrived. One of the waiters informed us to sit where we liked. There was booth seating along the right wall which seemed appealing if I wanted a quiet spot.
High top seating was available in the bar area. While not as private as the booth area, it was empty the entire time I was in the restaurant.
At the back of the restaurant was a regular dining area. It included a handful of tables. I would avoid sitting here because it was bright and located next to the kitchen.

I decided to grab a seat at the bar. The bar top seats were completely taken, except for two. We were provided a drink and food menu.

At Priority Pass restaurants, each guest gets $29. Since there was two of us, we were allowed $58. Tips cannot be included in the amount so bring cash. We did not have time to eat, so we just grabbed drinks. I started with an Old Fashioned, while my coworker had a beer.

We chatted with the bartenders, who were really funny, while enjoying our beverages. I mentioned my fondness of espresso martinis to my coworker. Hearing this, one of the bartenders offered to make me one. Yes, please!

Before too long, it was time for us to make our way to MacDill Air Force Base. We finished our drinks and hit the road.
Final Word
The Cafe by Mise en Place is a cool Priority Pass restaurant. It is conveniently located for arriving and departing passengers. The Cafe offers four different seating options for guests, which is appreciated. The bartenders were amazing and the drinks were delicious. I do not have anything bad to say about The Cafe…can’t wait to visit again.
