United Airlines Issues Houston Travel Waiver

United Airlines ERJ-175 First Class

The weather in Texas during the past few weeks has been especially…wet. This has been the most rain, tornadoes, hail I have seen during my second stint in the state. While we experienced a downpour in Wichita Falls last night, the southern part of the state experience severe weather. United Airlines has issued the following travel waiver to assist passengers:

United Airlines

IAH Severe Weather

Airport:

Houston, TX (IAH)

Original travel date:

May 8, 2019

Flight changes:

The change fee and any difference in fare will be waived for new United flights departing on or before May 12, 2019, as long as travel is rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin (any fare class) and between the same cities as originally ticketed.

Final Word

A travel delay can be one of the most frustrating things to happen, especially when you have a deadline to reach your destination. Luckily, Houston Intercontinental Airport is one I would not mind having a slight delay. This is due to abundances of lounges (Landry’s, Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar, KLM Royal Crown, United Club, AMEX Centurion Lounge) available to travelers. When life hands you lemons…
