I completed another wonderful trip to Panama a few weeks ago. While the full trip report will be posted in the coming days, I wanted to share my initial thoughts on Air China’s 777-300 Business Class product. I experienced Air China’s First Class during my last Panama trip, so I decided to try business class on this one. We boarded late due to a delay in Beijing. It was not that big of deal as I stayed a bit longer in the Air France Lounge across from the gate.

When it was time to make our way to Panama, I boarded through door 2L and was directed right into the business class cabin. The cabin was arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration. The seats are the same as United Airlines’ 777-200. I do not like this setup because all seats do not have direct aisle access. Of course, it was not a huge problem because I did have a seatmate.

The meal service began shortly after we were airborne. As I have written before, the food on Air China is exponentially better than any other airline on this route. The three courses included an appetizer, entrée, and fruit plate. The pork appetizer did not look appealing due to the amount of pink showing. My mind quickly changed after I tasted the first bite. It was very tender with a subtle smoky flavor.

My main was a simple chicken noodle dish, which was accompanied by a warm pretzel roll. The broth was just a little salty. I appreciated the flavor and the fact that the soup was not extremely hot.

Before catching a quick nap, I played around with the inflight entertainment. I was not able to do this on the last flight due to a computer issue.

Again, this was a quick post about my Air China Business Class experience. The full review will be posted soon. Thanks for following along.
