Hello from a frigid Denver, Colorado. I am on another day roundtrip to pickup my son in Portland, Oregon. I flew out of Oklahoma and had the worst seat mate possible. Let me know what you think. I will itemize the discrepancies.
#1. I reserved a window seat but when I arrived, there was someone in it. When I asked what her seat was, she said the aisle but wanted the window so I let her have it.
#2. She complained that it was cold so I told her to close both our air nozzles. She took it one step farther and closed the air nozzles of the two people in front of us. What the heck?! She was reaching over people and carrying on.
#3. She woke up, mid-flight, and asked me why she did not have water. I said, “ma’am, you were sleep so you have to push the call button to request a water”. She asked for a water and the pastry that I was eating. Said pastry is below.
#4. She kept complaining about the cold when she woke up. I was just ready to get off the plane at this point. She wanted a blanket but I advised her that there is a high likelihood there are no blankets on the flight because it was so short but she could call the flight attendant.
Turns out this lady was flying from Oklahoma City to Denver to San Francisco to Hong Kong to Saigon. That is definitely a wild itinerary so I can understand the angst.
Final Word
My seat mate on Oklahoma City to Denver was kind of high maintenance. She wanted what she wanted, no matter who it inconvenienced.
