Marriott sent the following offer, 14 more stays between October 1 and December 31 will renew my Marriott Gold Elite until February 2019. This was prior to my 4 Marriott Rewards credit card and paid 2 night stay were applied. That brings my total of nights needed to 8.
Marriott Gold is earned after reaching 50 qualifying nights in a calendar year or after earning United Mileage Premier Gold. Qualifying nights are any paid or redemption nights and nights earned from the Marriott Rewards credit card.
Completing 60 percent of the normal stays to receive this benefit can offer tons of value. I value the complimentary upgrade perk the most, while lounge access and breakfast are a close second. I will not go out of my way to renew mystatus with Marriott as long as I have United Premier Gold, however, if the opportunity presents itself…I will gladly extend the benefit.
