The connection between my flight from Nashville was less than hour. This gave me just enough time to hop the train over to Terminal D to check out the American Express Centurion Lounge. Of the nine lounges, I had only visited the lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
This Centurion lounge is located on the Mezzanine Level, right above the duty-free shop. The elevator to the lounge level is located in the middle of the shop.
After exiting the elevator, you make a left down a long hallway and you will arrive at the entrance.
I provided my American Express Platinum card, boarding pass and identification to the agent. After a few minutes, I was comfortably inside the lounge. As I mentioned earlier, I was in a hurry so I could not check out the spa services (come to think of it, I do not remember seeing a spa area).
The lounge was spacious. There was ample seating to the right as you entered.
After making a left, you are now in the main dining area. There was plenty of seating, the bar, and a breakfast buffet.
The bartender and wait staff were amazing. So much that one of the waitresses wanted to tidy up before I took pictures. She ultimately photobombed me.
Final Word
The lounge more than exceeded my expectations. American Express has some of the best lounges. I cannot wait to visit this one again. I might need to take a trip to visit the other seven.
