Review: Sushi Sake – Richardson

For dinner, I decided to visit Sushi Sake. Sushi Sake is a Japanese Izakaya located in Richardson, TX. I read online that it was the best Japanese in town, so I had to check it out. It was a five minute Uber ride from the Renaissance Hotel Dallas-Richardson. I arrived at the restaurant around 6pm. We were greeted by two friendly hostesses.

The place was packed with customers so I immediately felt like it was the right place for dinner. Due to the abundance of customers, I had a 30 minute wait to be seated. I would have liked to been presented menus while I waited, but it was not that big of a deal. The hostesses did check on us every few minutes (maybe they just wanted to play with my son). I snapped a few pictures to pass the time. The entire restaurant was beautiful.

About 25 minutes later, we were seated. The waiter was amazing, he was at the table a few minutes after we were seated. Menus were distributed and drink orders were taken.

After we finished the starters, we ordered a lot of food. If you think that I am exaggerating, look at the pictures below. My son thought the food was delicious as well, look at him grabbing some roe. LOL.

Final Word

Sushi Sake had reasonably priced food and with the ambience of the restaurant, made me feel like I was in Japan. The hostesses and waiter were amazing. My only (small) issue was not receiving a menu during the 30 minute wait. I probably should have asked for one, but it was not that big of a deal. Sushi Sake is a great place to eat if you are visiting Richardson, you have to try the Sushi Sake and the Sushi – B plate!
