As I posted about before, I am going on a cruise with my family for spring break. Namely, my mom, stepdad, and son, Nicholas. You all should remember Nicholas from other adventures on the blog, namely our trip to Dubai.
Prior to disembarking with MSC Cruises, they have you complete a web check-in. You can accomplish this by using your booking number or Voyager’s account log-in.
Once you log in, you select a passenger, verify their name, birthdate, and voyager’s club number, then move to the embarkation information for the passengers attached to the booking.
The embarkation information includes, after you click “edit info”: personal information (name, gender, place of birth, and nationality) , passport information, telephone/email/address, and then emergency contact.
Then there is your time that you can board. This time is arbitrary because I boarded eight hours prior to departure on the cruise last summer. At this point, I am past annoyed.
This all has been provided to the company, I do not know why they could not fill it in. They even have my mom/stepdad connected to Nicholas/me so that we can eat dinner and go on excursions together.
Then the security picture shows up. it states that for safety purposes, a color photo is needed.
I took his picture more than 15 times then I let it rest because I figure it was a software glitch. Then I waited u til my son came home…he was able to hold/capture his picture but I still could not.
I know you lying MSC Cruises. My son is quite a bit lighter than me because he is half Japanese but this is kind of ridiculous. I walked around in all lighting situations, changed my shirt multiple times to create contrast, and I even covered my beard…no help.
My question: MSC Cruises, do you have an application issue or a color issue?
Final Word
I do not know why I could not complete the online web check in but my son was able to do it pretty quickly. MSC has an issue, I cannot put my finger on it properly, but they need to fix it.
