We. Are. Back.
I did not travel as much as I would have liked last year but we are kicking off the year of 2025 with a bang! My son and I will be off the Paris soon for a week of eating, sightseeing, and sitting on the grass in front of the Eiffel Tower. If you recall, our last international trip was to Dubai just over a year ago.
The trip to Paris came about as we watched the Olympics last summer. My little buddy asked if we could make the journey to France soon. My answer was, a resounding, yes!
I booked us two economy class seats on Air France’s A350-900 from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport in Paris.
Economy has 28 rows in 3-3-3 configuration, while two rows are in 2-3-2. I chose the last row in this configuration. I hope it will be as pleasant as the Emirates 777-300LR Honeymoon seats we enjoyed from DFW to Dubai (DXB).
I purchased the two roundtrip tickets for $2300 USD. This was not a bad deal at all. On the return, we are sitting only one row up from our cozy two seats.
I booked the beginning of our stay at the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel and Conference Center in a Deluxe Twin room for $200 EUR/night.
The hotel is near the Pantheon, Notre Dame, and Luxembourg Gardens. We will definitely visit the Eiffel Tower and Paris Disney during our stay. I left the back half of the itinerary open in case we wanted to a quick trip to another country.
