Review: Gyu Kaku – Dallas

I did not know that Dallas had a Gyu Kaku restaurant, until yesterday.  Gyu Kaku is a family style, yakiniku restaurant brand.  I was ecstatic because I had not eaten at the restaurant since I visited the Gyu Kaku – Harvard early last year when I lived in New England.  I HAD to give Gyu Kaku-Dallas (Addison) a try before I returned home.

The company has more than 650 locations worldwide.

In typical Japanese fashion, the staff says ‘irasshaimase’ (traditional welcome to a business).  Even though they used some canned Japanese phrases, not many (if any) of the staff were Japanese, which I expected.  The place opens at 1100 every day.  I arrived during happy hour and did not have a wait.  🙂  The restaurant was spotless and there were a lot of staff to assist should I have needed anything.

Final Word

Gyu Kaku was everything that I remember.  The restaurant, and others like it, continually remind me of my time in Japan.  I will definitely return to this location, the ambiance, staff, and food were amazing.
