Avianca Airlines Regional Business Class in 5 Pictures

As I continue to edit pictures from my trip to Panama and El Salvador, I am reliving the entire trip all over again, this is the best part of blogging for me.  I am still working on the trip report, but I wanted to share my initial thoughts of Avianca Airlines’ Regional Business Class product.  The title is a bit vague because I am missing the type of aircraft, which I usually include, in the title of the “5 Pictures” post.  I flew on Avianca’s A319 and A320, which are pretty much the same, hence the vague title.

We had a bit of delay on the A320 leaving Panama, but it was not that big of a deal because I would have a five hour layover in Bogota to go lounge hopping. There is something oddly appealing about Avianca’s livery.  The red and gray are a perfect combo.

I flew in the same seat, 1K, for two of my three Avianca flights.  The seats were a bit worn but very comfortable.  The inflight entertainment screen left a lot to be desired…it was old, bulky, and did not have the best picture quality.

The meal service was similar to SilkAir’s Business Class between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur as I was provided a cold sandwich and fruit.  The sandwich was mostly bread so I picked at the meat and enjoyed the small fruit portion.

A quirk of the airline is the limited amount of alcohol offered to the passengers.  Bailey’s, white/red wine, and a sparkling wine were offered on all flights.  This was surprising, but when you see the small drink cart, you can understand the limited supply.

As I stated earlier, this was a quick post about my Avianca Airlines’ Business Class experience.  The full report is being worked and will be posted soon. Thank you for following along.
